GENERAL PROGRESS

• ​ Great News!  We've had a breakthrough improvement in our keyword search engine! After struggle, comes success! Your keyword searches will produce results that are much more satisfying than in the past. Allahu Akbar!

I have added an assistant to help me manage and organize the IWDM Study Library database, which is used to track all lecture files in the library. Currently, there is a total of 19,623 individual files in the IWDM Study Library repository. There are 5,154 audio files, 2,947 video files, 9,710 transcriptions and 1,812 transfer files gathered from approximately 15 individual private collections. Of course, many of these files/lectures are duplicates and the filenames and filename formats are different. It is our task to:

• Go through each of these files 
• Check them for duplication
• Rename the files to a common format to facilitate sorting and organizing the lectures
• Upload the lectures to the Study Library
• Enter data about each lecture that has been uploaded to the library
• Track whether quality checks have been applied to each lecture 
• Track whether a transcript has been made of each audio/video lecture
• and more

My assistant will help me with this work. The database company Zoho Creator, will charge an additional $10.00 per month to give the assistant access to the database. I am already paying for the account myself. So, on the Financial Report you will see a $10.00 expense each month to Zoho Creator.   

There are currently 742 lecture files in the Study Library and recorded in the IWDM Study Library database. I am systematically going through the files one-by-one, formatting the filenames, checking them against the database for duplication, uploading those that are not in the library, and transcribing those that are not transcribed.
